FlightLogbook is developed by Jan Kollmorgen. This policy explains what data the app handles, how it is used, and your rights. In short: FlightLogbook works entirely on your device, requires no account, and the developer does not collect, store, or sell any of your personal data.
FlightLogbook does not require you to sign in or create an account. Your flights, visited airports, and settings are stored only locally on your device. None of this data is sent to or stored on the developer's servers, because the app has no such server.
With your permission, the app uses the camera solely to scan the barcode on a boarding pass (PDF417, QR, or Aztec). Scanning is performed on your device. Images are not uploaded and are not stored by the developer.
With your permission, the app uses your location only on your device: to show your current position on the in-app maps (for example during flight simulation) and to match the map's light/dark appearance to your local day or night. Your location is not stored and is not transmitted off your device.
FlightLogbook works offline by default. The maps — including all tiles and labels — are bundled inside the app and require no network connection to display. A few optional features do make anonymous requests to third-party services. These requests never include your name, an account identifier, or any personal profile, only the minimum information needed for the feature:
As with any internet request, your device's IP address is visible to the provider as part of normal connectivity. These providers process such requests under their own privacy policies. The app sends only what is required for the feature and no personal identifiers.
FlightLogbook contains no advertising, no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and does not track you across apps or websites.
Because all of your data lives on your device, you are in full control of it. You can delete individual flights inside the app, delete all data from the app's settings, or remove everything by deleting the app. You can also export your flights as a JSON backup file at any time from the app's settings.
FlightLogbook is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
